Counselling for loss and bereavement

I offer online counselling for loss and bereavement to adults across the UK, by video call or telephone. Sessions last 60 minutes and cost £60, and the first step is a free 20 minute consultation.

Grief is one of the most profound human experiences, and one of the most isolating. Counselling offers a space to grieve properly, without timetable or expectation. I'm Rowena, a BACP-registered counsellor supporting adults across the UK, online.

You don't have to carry this on your own.

Grief doesn't follow a script. It can be raw and loud, or quiet and numb. It can arrive years after a loss, or resurface when you least expect it. And it doesn't have to be about death, loss of a relationship, a role, a hoped-for future, or a sense of self can all bring its own grief.

Many people find that grief is something they're expected to move through quickly. Counselling creates space to grieve at your own pace, without having to manage how others feel about your loss.

I don't try to fix grief or hurry it along. I sit with you in it, offer perspective when it's helpful, and help you find your way through without losing yourself in the process.

You might recognise some of these

  • Feeling overwhelmed by sadness, anger, or numbness
  • Finding it hard to accept the reality of a loss
  • Grief that feels stuck or that isn't shifting over time
  • Difficulty functioning in daily life after a bereavement
  • Feeling guilty about how you're grieving, or not grieving
  • Isolation because others don't understand your grief

Wherever you are in the UK, sessions take place online by video call or telephone, so we can meet at a time and in a space that feels right for you. Each session lasts 60 minutes, usually weekly for the first six weeks to help build a trusting working relationship.

I work with adults aged 18 and over and follow the BACP Ethical Framework for good practice.

Hi, I'm Rowena, an integrative counsellor in Surrey. I work with adults who are facing a wide range of challenges, whether it's anxiety, relationship struggles, feeling stuck, or navigating grief and loss. Life can feel overwhelming sometimes, especially when you're trying to push through alone. I offer a safe, confidential space where you can pause, be heard, and begin to make sense of what you're feeling.

As an integrative counsellor, I don't believe one size fits all. I draw on different approaches to shape our sessions around what works best for you.

As well as being a counsellor, I'm also a certified transitional life coach, and I help people navigate life's changes with clarity, courage, and confidence. Whether you're stepping into the unknown or stepping up into your full potential, I offer one-to-one coaching tailored to your unique journey.

So, if you're going through a life transition that I can help you with, contact me today to book your free 20 minute discovery call. Let's get you to a place of clarity, confidence, and moving forward.

You don't have to have everything figured out before reaching out.

Choose a time that suits you and take that first step. If it feels easier, you can start with a free 20-minute telephone consultation, a simple, no-pressure conversation to help you decide what's right for you.
