Counselling for self-harm and suicidal thoughts
I offer online counselling for self-harm and suicidal thoughts to adults across the UK, by video call or telephone. Sessions last 60 minutes and cost £60, and the first step is a free 20 minute consultation.
If you're hurting yourself or having thoughts of suicide, please know that support is available and that things can change. I'm Rowena, a BACP-registered counsellor offering safe, confidential support to adults across the UK, online.
Fee £60 / session

You don't have to carry this on your own.
Self-harm and suicidal thoughts are often a sign that emotional pain has become overwhelming and that you need more support than you currently have. These experiences are more common than many people realise, and they are not a sign of weakness or failure.
In our sessions, I offer a consistent, non-judgmental space where you can speak honestly about what's happening without fear of overreaction. My focus is always on your safety and your wellbeing, and we work collaboratively to understand what lies beneath these feelings.
I hold a TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Self-harm and Suicide Awareness and Prevention. If you are in immediate danger, please contact emergency services or the Samaritans on 116 123. Counselling works alongside, not instead of, crisis support.
You might recognise some of these
- Hurting yourself as a way of coping with overwhelming emotion
- Thoughts of suicide or not wanting to be alive
- Feeling like a burden to the people around you
- Emotional pain that feels unbearable and unending
- Hopelessness about the future
- Feeling trapped with no way out
Wherever you are in the UK, sessions take place online by video call or telephone, so we can meet at a time and in a space that feels right for you. Each session lasts 60 minutes, usually weekly for the first six weeks to help build a trusting working relationship.
I work with adults aged 18 and over and follow the BACP Ethical Framework for good practice.

I work with adults who are facing a wide range of challenges, whether it's anxiety, relationship struggles, feeling stuck, or navigating grief and loss. Life can feel overwhelming sometimes, especially when you're trying to push through alone.
