Online counselling

Counselling for emotional abuse

I offer online counselling for emotional abuse to adults across the UK, by video call or telephone. Sessions last 60 minutes and cost £60, and the first step is a free 20 minute consultation.

Emotional abuse can be difficult to name, especially when it happens gradually over time. Counselling offers a safe space to make sense of your experience and begin to heal. I'm Rowena, a BACP-registered counsellor supporting adults across the UK, online.

You don't have to carry this on your own.

Emotional abuse, whether in a romantic relationship, a family, or a workplace, can leave lasting damage even when it leaves no visible marks. It might include control, manipulation, criticism, gaslighting, humiliation, or being made to feel you are always wrong or always too much.

Many survivors of emotional abuse find it difficult to trust their own perceptions by the time they seek help. Counselling helps you begin to rebuild your sense of reality and your belief in your own experience. You are not imagining it, and you are not to blame.

I work with sensitivity, care, and at your pace. If you are still in an abusive situation, we can talk about that too, including what support and options are available to you. You don't have to have everything resolved to start.

You might recognise some of these

  • Feeling worthless, stupid, or constantly wrong
  • Walking on eggshells around someone in your life
  • Having your perceptions or memory regularly questioned
  • Feeling controlled or monitored by a partner or family member
  • Difficulty trusting your own judgement
  • Fear of speaking up or expressing needs

Wherever you are in the UK, sessions take place online by video call or telephone, so we can meet at a time and in a space that feels right for you. Each session lasts 60 minutes, usually weekly for the first six weeks to help build a trusting working relationship.

I work with adults aged 18 and over and follow the BACP Ethical Framework for good practice.

Hi, I'm Rowena, an integrative counsellor in Surrey. I work with adults who are facing a wide range of challenges, whether it's anxiety, relationship struggles, feeling stuck, or navigating grief and loss. Life can feel overwhelming sometimes, especially when you're trying to push through alone. I offer a safe, confidential space where you can pause, be heard, and begin to make sense of what you're feeling.

As an integrative counsellor, I don't believe one size fits all. I draw on different approaches to shape our sessions around what works best for you.

As well as being a counsellor, I'm also a certified transitional life coach, and I help people navigate life's changes with clarity, courage, and confidence. Whether you're stepping into the unknown or stepping up into your full potential, I offer one-to-one coaching tailored to your unique journey.

So, if you're going through a life transition that I can help you with, contact me today to book your free 20 minute discovery call. Let's get you to a place of clarity, confidence, and moving forward.

You don't have to have everything figured out before reaching out.

Choose a time that suits you and take that first step. If it feels easier, you can start with a free 20-minute telephone consultation, a simple, no-pressure conversation to help you decide what's right for you.
